Several southbound lanes of Interstate 35E were closed Wednesday evening after a crash involving a tractor-trailer, according to the Texas Department of Transportation’s live traffic camera.

At least five lanes were closed as of 8:38 p.m. near the Zang Boulevard curve, resulting in heavy gridlock for nighttime motorists. It was not immediately clear if any injuries were reported or what led to the crash.

State transportation officials deferred to Dallas police for information about the crash.

Dallas Fire-Rescue said it dispatched crews to the accident scene about 7:44 p.m. No one was taken to the hospital, the agency said.
