Scheels announced on its website that the company will host a grand opening at its Cedar Park location on Aug. 29.
Two-minute impact
The 300,000-square-foot store will feature 75 specialty shops, a 65-foot indoor Ferris wheel, a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium and Ginna’s Café which will serve soups and sandwiches.

The sporting goods store will be located in the 117-acre CedarView development, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
The surrounding retail district will feature a mix of local and regional shops, restaurants and possibly entertainment venues. Another fixture of the development will be NFM, formerly Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Zooming out
The Cedar Park Scheels will be the company’s second Texas location. The employee-owned store launched its original Lone Star location in the Dallas area in 2020, according to its website.
