More Democratic primary voters in Tarrant County headed to the polls than Republicans on Tuesday, the first day of in person early voting.
In total, Tarrant County voters cast nearly 15,000 ballots in the Democratic and Republican primaries, thousands more than on the first day of early voting in 2024, according to the Tarrant County Election Administration.

At the top of the ticket is the U.S. Senate race, where Republican iIncumbent John Cornyn is trying to stave GOP challengers and Democrats Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico hope to win a spot on the Nov. 3 ballot. There’s also a slate of statewide races for offices like governor and lieutenant governor and county level contests.
On Tuesday, 8,361 Democratic primary voters casts ballots in person and 6,526 Republican voters casts ballots in person.
The Dionne Phillips Bagsby Southwest Subcourthouse in Fort Worth was the most trafficked polling location among Democratic voters. Keller Town Hall saw the most Republican primary voters.
In March 2024, when a presidential race was on the ballot, 2,109 Democratic primary voters and 5,527 Republican primary voters headed to the polls on Day One of early voting in Tarrant County.
During the last midterm election primaries in March 2022, 2,368 Democrats voted early on the first day of in person early voting in Tarrant County and 4,407 Republicans.
