HOUSTON, Texas – A man and a woman were hospitalized after leading officers on a chase through northwest Houston early Thursday morning.
According to the Houston Police Department, around 2 a.m., officers saw a man driving a Corvette run multiple red lights and travel at high speeds along West Montgomery Road.
Police said they attempted a traffic stop, but the driver took off, leading officers on a brief chase that lasted about five minutes.
The chase ended when the Corvette got a flat tire, overturned, and crashed into a building on West Little York Road.
Officers said the driver and a female passenger were pulled from the crash and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators do not believe the Corvette was stolen, but confirmed the driver had an outstanding felony warrant.
It’s unclear what additional charges he may face.
