Anthony Noteboom, 19, faces a charge of possession of child pornography, TCPD said. His bond was set at $200,000.
TEXAS CITY, Texas — A 19-year-old Texas City man on Wednesday was arrested on child pornography charges, Texas City police say.
The Texas City Police Department said an investigation was launched after its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received several tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
“During the investigation, Anthony Noteboom, 19, of Texas City, was identified as a suspect,” Texas City police said in a social media post.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for a home on 28th Avenue North and arrested Noteboom on a charge of possession of child pornography — sexual conduct/assault. His bond at $200,000.
Details surrounding the case are limited.
Texas City Police said Homeland Security Investigations, the Pearland Police Department, and the La Porte Police Department helped take Noteboom into custody.
“We would like to extend our appreciation to all assisting agencies for their collaboration and to the community for its continued support,” Texas City police said. “TCPD remains committed to protecting children and bringing child predators to justice.”
