LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Museum at Texas Tech University will host “The Abbey Revealed: Dinner and Conversation with Laura Carmichael and Allen Leech.”
This event will be Thursday, from 7:00 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the Museum at Texas Tech University, at 3301 Fourth Street.
“The Abbey Revealed” offers guests an elegant evening of insightful discussion and fine food inspired by the critically acclaimed television series. Series actors Laura Carmichael (Edith Pelham) and Allen Leech (Tom Branson) will share stories from their lives as actors and their experiences on “Downton Abbey.”
Tickets are available to purchase and are $175 per person.
The dinner is in conjunction with the “Dressing the Abbey” exhibition which opened Jan. 31 and will run until April 25. The exhibition features the original costumes worn by the stars from the first three seasons of “Downton Abbey” that depict British aristocracy fashions in the early 20th century. The exhibition showcases the evolution of style in the late Edwardian era through the 1920s, evoking fans’ favorite moments from the show.
Tickets to see the exhibition will be available for purchase in person only. Prices range from $8 for adults; $6 for seniors, military members, children ages 5-17 and non-Texas Tech students; $4 for Texas Tech students with ID; and free for children 5 and under. Visitors can still visit the museum free of charge. Tickets are only required to see “Dressing the Abbey.”
