The field is set for the May 2 Sachse City Council election after the filing period ended Friday, Feb. 13, with races for Place 3 and Place 4 on the ballot.

Three candidates have filed for Place 3. Incumbent Frank Millsap is seeking re-election. Millsap was first elected in Nov. 2020. He is the owner of Sachse Rod Shop and previously served on the city’s Tax Increment Financing No. 1 Board, the Zoning Board of Adjustment and the 2013 Charter Review Commission.

Laura Tovar, a preschool teacher who has lived in Sachse for nearly 10 years and Jayne Reed have also filed for Place 3.

Four candidates are running for Place 4. Jeffrey Alan Bell, a purchasing professional, has lived in Sachse for just under 13 years. Beau Hooten, an operations manager, has lived in the city for almost 19 years. Tim Legh-Page, a restaurant owner, has been a resident for 11½ years. Gurvinder Singh, who is self-employed, has lived in Sachse for just under 12 years.

The last day to register to vote in the May 2026 general election is April 2. Early voting begins April 20 and runs through April 28. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is April 21. Election Day voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 2.

In Dallas County, early voting within Sachse city limits will be available at Sachse City Hall, Courtroom, 3815-B Sachse Road. Dallas County residents may vote at any vote center within the county. Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 20 and April 22 through April 24; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 25; noon to 6 p.m. April 26; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 27 and April 28.

On Election Day, Dallas County voters within Sachse may cast ballots at Sachse City Hall, Courtroom, 3815-B Sachse Road; BG Hudson Middle School, Practice Gym, 4405 Hudson Drive; or First United Methodist Church of Sachse, Gym, 1520 Blackburn Road. Dallas County residents may vote at any vote center within the county.

In Collin County, early voting within Sachse city limits will be held at the Michael J. Felix Community Center, Room A/B, 3815-E Sachse Road. Collin County residents may vote at any vote center within the county. Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 20 and April 22 through April 24; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 25; no voting April 26; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 27 and April 28.

On Election Day, Collin County voters within Sachse may cast ballots at the Michael J. Felix Community Center, Room A/B, 3815-E Sachse Road. Collin County residents may vote at any vote center within the county.
