The California-based company said online that the totes would serve as “seriously great gift bags or Easter baskets.”
The totes are made of a 65% cotton and 35% polyester blend and feature long handles that accent the mostly white-colored bag with four pastel color options: blue, purple, pink and green. They measure 13 inches long, by 11 inches tall, by 6 inches wide — that’s what makes them mini, as opposed to their full-size, canvas counterparts, which were first introduced in 1977.
This year’s pastel mini totes are the same as the pastel mini totes released in April 2025.
A timeline for availability will be released at a later date, the company said. In the past, the bags cost $3 each.
The original minis featured rich hues of red, blue, yellow and green, and since their popularity skyrocketed, Trader Joe’s has issued multiple limited edition seasonal minis. The company has offered customers Halloween mini totes, an even smaller tote called the “micro tote,” and an insulated mini cooler bag.
Although Trader Joe’s only operates stores in the U.S., the mini totes have gained a dedicated following in other parts of the world.
