CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An arrest has been made after a reported terroristic threat prompted a police response at Harold C. Kaffie Middle School Thursday morning.
The Corpus Christi Police Department said officers responded around 10 a.m. after parents received an alert through the school’s parent portal.
Kirby Warnke, chief of police for the Corpus Christi Independent School District, said a teen is facing a terroristic threat charge. Warnke said a video circulating on social media showed the teen posing with a BB gun, but the video was not filmed on school property.
Warnke emphasized that all threats are taken seriously, even if claimed to be a joke. No additional details were released.
