With the long weekend ahead that includes Valentine’s Day and President’s Day, there are plenty of events, activities and restaurant deals around northeast Tarrant County for anyone who wants to have fun and enjoy a meal without having to drive to Fort Worth or Dallas.
Keller
Valentine’s Day: Donuts with a Grown-up is for kids ages 2 to 5. Enjoy creating a craft and having a sweet treat on Feb. 14 at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Keller Library.
Valentines for Vets: The Travis Manion Foundation and its Fort Worth Chapter will host a Valentine’s Day card making event at the Chick-fil-A at 1002 Keller Parkway. Attendees can make cards that will be distributed to North Texas veterans. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required.
Southlake
Valentine’s dinner at Kirby’s Steakhouse Southlake: The restaurant will have a special Valentine’s dinner menu with a choice of starting course and an option to pick one item each from a three course and dessert menu. Reservation is required.
Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen: Through Feb. 15, a Valentine’s four-course dinner menu at the Southlake and Garland locations.
Southlake’s Jellico’s restaurant: Located in the Westin Hotel at 1200 East State Highway 114, the restaurant is having “Two Hearts. One Moment” Valentine’s four-course dinner from Feb 13 to Feb 15 that includes a shared first course and a curated main course, a shared dessert and complimentary champagne toast.
Colleyville
The City of Colleyville is giving residents a $35 gift card for Colleyville restaurants. Residents can pick up a card from city locations that can be used at participating restaurants. The cards have been available since Feb 2 and will be given out until Feb 27 while supplies last. The limit is one per household, and a photo ID is required.
Grapevine
Happy Valentine’s Day Couples Painting by Painting with a Twist: Couples can make “fun art, not fine art” with supplies and instructions provided. They can enjoy a night of painting while an artist walks you through the process, and you can take your painting home the same night. Happening Feb 14, with different timings available at 203 E. Worth St.
“Love Letters” at Runway Theatre: A night of letters between two writers who began writing to each other from the time of their high school years in 1937 until their senior years in the early 1980s. Feb 14-15 at the Runaway Theatre.
Sweetheart Pickleball Tournament at Chicken N Pickle: If you’re looking for something with more physical activity, try pickleball. This event is for all ages and abilities at Chicken N Pickle, Feb. 14, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4600 Merlot Ave.
