AUSTIN, Texas — One person was injured in a shooting or stabbing in downtown Austin Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Austin Police Department officers and CapMetro Transit Police responded to a “shoot/stab” call around 2:16 p.m. at the intersection of West 4th Street and Lavaca Street. Officers arrived to find a victim with non-life-threatening injuries, who was transported to a local hospital and reported to be in stable condition.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday afternoon. The investigation is ongoing.

Roads were closed in the area but have since reopened.
