AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals involved in the fraudulent use of a victim’s credit cards.

The incident occurred on Monday, December 22, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m., at 710 E Ben White Blvd, where the suspects were recorded making unauthorized purchases at a Wal-Mart and a Murphy gas station, following a vehicle burglary. The victim’s vehicle was burglarized in the 300 block of Atlanta Street while the victim was jogging, according to a press release from the Austin Police Department.

Suspect #1 is described as a Black male in his early 30s with a medium build, short black hair, and a goatee. Suspect #2 is described as a Black male in his mid-20s with a thin build, last seen wearing skinny acid wash jeans, a black “Road Race Ride or Die” varsity jacket, and dark sandals. The suspect vehicle is a white, four-door car with extensive damage to the front left quarter panel.

The Austin Police Department offers several safety tips to help avoid becoming victims of vehicle burglaries: always lock your doors, hide valuables, park in well-lit areas, use anti-theft devices, and be aware of your surroundings.

Anyone with information is encouraged to submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
