EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Mexico’s Gorditas Doña Tota opened its first location in El Paso at an OXXO convenience store in far East El Paso.

Customers will be able to enjoy Gorditas Doña Tota’s authentic, freshly made Mexican food, such as gorditas and Mexican stews, with “flavors that connect with memory and tradition,” according to a news release from OXXO. The store is located at 2100 N. Zaragoza Rd.

“At OXXO, we believe that convenience can also be flavorful. Integrating Doña Tota into our stores allows us to offer a friendly, practical, and authentic experience, designed to be enjoyed in minutes so customers can get on with their day,” Carlos García Montemayor, marketing director OXXO USA, said.

OXXO said that the food that Gorditas Doña Tota provides is practical, fast and ideal for those looking for a home-style meal that fits into busy days.

This marks the second “clip-in” business that OXXO has added to their El Paso location, following the addition of Ditsch artisan bread last month.

“In this way, OXXO USA adds an option for authentic, freshly made Mexican food with flavors that connect with memory and tradition. This offering is designed both for those who already know Doña Tota and those who are about to discover it,” read the news release.
