FORT WORTH – With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the peaceful passing of Doreen Casas, age 81, on February 14, 2026. Doreen left this world surrounded by her loving family, a testament to the warmth and devotion that defined her life. Funeral: 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service at 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Doreen was born on October 16, 1944, to Frank Aguilera and Victoria Enriquez Aguilera. From a young age, she filled her days with joy and curiosity. Her childhood was shaped by a strong connection to church, a love for dancing, and a fondness for the music of Elvis Presley, all of which brought her happiness and lasting memories. On November 9, 1963, Doreen married her beloved husband, Joe Casas. Together, they shared a remarkable 63 years of marriage, building a family grounded in love and mutual respect. Doreen’s dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt was unwavering. Her home was always open, and her heart was always full, nurturing those around her with kindness and care. Doreen’s strong Christian faith guided her throughout her life. She was a pillar of strength and compassion, known for her gentle spirit and generous heart. Her enduring trust in God inspired everyone who knew her and offered comfort to her family and friends. Doreen’s life was a living example of faith, devotion, and unconditional love. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of family and friends. Doreen is survived by her devoted husband, Joe Casas; son, Dino Casas; and daughter, Cynthia Owen and her husband, Thomas Owen. She was a proud grandmother to Brittany Gomez and her husband, Carlos, Courtney Lopez and her husband, Ryan and Tyler Owen and his wife, Miranda. Her legacy continues through her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Frani McLean, Rosalinda Grubb and her husband, Sam, Rosemary Ledon , Liz Lee and Manelli Thompson of Northern, California; beloved aunt, Tillie Enriquez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom were deeply touched by her love and guidance. Doreen was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Victoria Enriquez Aguilera; father, Frank Aguilera; brother-in-law, Douglas McLean; sister, Mary Lou Gomez; daughter-in-law, Robin Stevens; and beloved son, Jason Casas. Their memories remain cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life.
