AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are searching for a man who they say evaded arrest after officers made contact with him earlier this month.

On Tuesday, Feb. 10, at around 10:15 p.m., APD says that officers found a parked Buick that did not match its installed license plates near the 6500 block of the South I-35 southbound service road.

Officers made contact with the driver, APD says, but the driver ignored commands, turned the vehicle’s ignition on and left the scene.

The driver was last seen going north on the I-35 service road.

Those who have information on the suspect or his whereabouts are asked to submit tips through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers online or at 512-472-8477.
