SAN ANTONIO – East Central ISD confirmed that approximately 30 students were disciplined after leaving class without authorization during a campus walkout.
In a statement, the district said discipline was issued in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct, Texas Education Code, and recent guidance from the Texas Education Agency. No students were expelled.

District officials said that consequences were based on students leaving instructional time and campus without permission, not on the viewpoint or message of the protest.
ECISD said administrators and law enforcement were present to ensure student safety and maintain order throughout the day.
