HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Daihatsu mini truck, primarily used for off-road tasks and ranching, now serves a different purpose.

Brian Wilson, a U.S. Army Veteran, transformed his 2020 Hijet truck into Wilson’s Mobile Book Emporium.

“I mean, look at it. The whole truck is amazing,” One customer shared. “As soon as I parked, I was like, I got to check this out.”

Wilson told us the truck can carry up to 500 books, and he pops up at different coffee shops around Houston.

“No one expected to go out today to buy a book when they come to the book truck,” Wilson said. “It’s always fun because someone found something they weren’t expecting to find that day.”

With limited space, Wilson discusses with us how he selects the books he carries and where his love of books began.

To know where Wilson’s truck will be next visit his website or follow the business on Instagram.
