SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A car theft ring spanning several cities is now busted up, and five suspects are under arrest.
KENS 5 reports the suspects include two adults and three juveniles, and they are accused of thefts and burglaries in Seguin, Schertz and San Antonio.
The investigation got started Thursday, February 12 when four cars were broken into, according to the Seguin Police Department. One of the burglaries involved a Sequin police vehicle, and another one happened to a cruiser belonging to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office.
Police in multiple jurisdictions would soon investigate additional reports of stolen cars throughout the area. Three of those vehicles were reported stolen out of Seguin and Schertz. Another car was found in New Braunfels with two others found via license plate recognition systems.
Additional arrests are not ruled out, and police are reminding you to lock your vehicles and take valuables inside after parking.
