Shipley Do-Nuts, the Houston-based breakfast chain known for its glazed doughnuts and savory breakfast treats, announced Wednesday it plans to expand its national presence with a surge of new stores.

The company said it would open 14 new stores across four states, including Shipley’s first venture into Nevada and the establishment of its westernmost location.

The expansion calls for three new shops in Las Vegas, the Atlanta area and Dallas-Fort Worth, and five new shops in New Orleans.

The announcement comes a year after the company was sold to a California private equity firm for an undisclosed amount. Flynn Dekker, CEO of Shipley Do-Nuts, told Chron.com the sale was made to prepare the company for further national growth — and it seems the firm is making good on its expansion promises.

It opened 35 new stores in 2025 alone, including the first-ever locations in North Carolina and Virginia.

“As we strengthen our presence in our thriving existing markets, we are strategically expanding into key high-growth markets from Nevada to Georgia, proving our ability to scale within and outside of our traditional footprint,” said Dekker in a statement. “Each of our new franchisees brings the operational excellence, market knowledge and commitment to quality necessary to successfully grow the Shipley Do-Nuts brand in these key metropolitan areas.”
