Dallas residents with outstanding citations can resolve them without risking arrest during special court events from February 28 to March 12. This amnesty period provides an opportunity to settle up to six violations per day at the Dallas Municipal Court, located at 2014 Main Street.

This initiative matters because thousands of residents carry unpaid citations that can lead to arrest warrants. The program temporarily removes that threat, encouraging people to settle their legal obligations without fear of detention.

Participants must bring valid photo identification to check in.

The amnesty period applies only to unresolved Class C City of Dallas offenses, such as code violations, speeding tickets, disorderly conduct, and unrestrained animals.

The court will not process family violence, juvenile, or civil citation cases during these sessions.

Weekend hours run 8 a.m. to noon on February 28-March 1 and March 7-8. Weekday sessions operate from 7:30-10 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. on March 3-6 and March 9-12.

The Municipal Court emphasizes that no arrests will occur at the courthouse during these events. This guarantee aims to boost participation among those who have avoided the court system.
