AUSTIN, Texas — Police are investigating after a homicide in northeast Austin on Saturday morning.
According to the Austin Police Department, the incident happened near the 1400 block of E. Rundberg Lane near Dessau Road, east of Interstate 35.
Police said officers responded to a call just after 3 a.m. from the 9500 Apartments. They found a male victim with what officers describe as “apparent body trauma.”
Officers rendered aid until medics arrived, but the victim did not survive.
This is Austin’s 10h homicide this year.
As of Sunday morning, no one in custody in connection with the death. Police said they believe this is an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
