A shooting in Arlington Friday night resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy, according to a news release from the Arlington Police Department.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 4600 block of Sausalito Drive to a reported shooting, according to the release. On arriving, they found the boy unresponsive in a bedroom.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said. The teenager’s identity was not released.

Investigators said they found the boy and his friends were reportedly playing with a gun just before the shooting.

One of the teenagers who was in the room with the victim was arrested and is facing a manslaughter charge, according to the authorities. The arrested teenager was taken to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center.
