GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — How would you like to meet and eat with some of the best chefs in America?
Acclaimed Dallas chef Tiffany Derry, owner of Roots Southern Table and Radici, and judge on MasterChef, will host the second annual Shef Food and Wine Festival this weekend in Grand Prairie.
The festival features 30 of the best chefs from around the country.
“I am telling you, there is a little bit of everybody,” Derry said.
Derry said, like last year’s inaugural event, there will be James Beard winners, Top Chef winners, celebrity chefs, Michelin-starred chefs, and so many more.
Derry said it’s rare to have so much culinary talent in one place.
“They’re all here in Grand Prairie, in DFW for this weekend, which is crazy,” she said.
The Shef Festival, named Shef to celebrate the “she” in Shef, runs Thursday through Sunday.
There are many events for guests to choose from, like a chef panel, a marketplace, and a chef pickleball tournament.
“You pick what works for you and the time that works for you,” Derry said.
Then, of course, there’s food.
Guests can sample some of America’s best dishes from some of America’s best chefs.
“There’s just a little bit of everything and a little bite for everyone,” Derry said.
No one will leave hungry.
But Derry hopes they do leave inspired.
“I just hope that when you remember Shef Food and Wine that you just have a smile on your face and you say, ‘I can’t wait to come and I can’t wait to bring my family and friends with me the following year.’”
