DALLAS, Texas – The Central Arkansas STUNT team competed in four games this weekend, going 1-3 in Dallas.
 
Game one was against Cal Poly, and the Bears put up nine points against the school from the Golden State. The Bears scored two points in the first quarter, earning a pair in partner stunts. Quarter two saw Central Arkansas add three more, and trailed by four at halftime. But Cal Poly pulled away in the second half, outscoring Central Arkansas 20-4 over the final two quarters.
 
Central Arkansas struggled in the second game of the weekend, falling 24-2 against Oklahoma Baptist. The Bears scored both points in the first quarter, but ultimately were unable to scratch any more points in the final three quarters.
 
The Bears put up a fight against Missouri State in game three of the weekend. The Bears scored 12 points against the other Bears, putting together quarters of one and four points before halftime, trailing by five at the break. But Missouri State pulled away in the final frame, outscoring the Conway Bears by 14 over the final two frames.
 
Central Arkansas earned its lone win of the weekend in the final game, defeating Arizona Christian 22-5. The Bears opened up a 4-1 lead in the first quarter, then built that lead with a 4-0 showing in the second quarter to go up 8-1 at halftime. Central Arkansas continued to score points in the tumbling and gymnastics quarter, adding two more points to the lead. The Bears finished off the win with an 11-3 quarter in the final frame, earning the 22-5 victory.
 
The Bears will be back in Texas at the beginning of March, playing four games in Austin, Texas.
