BOULDER, Colo. (KCBD) – With two minutes left in the third quarter, the No. 20 Texas Tech Lady Raiders (24-5, 11-5 Big 12) held a 59-51. However, they would be outscored 24-9 for the remainder of the game and the unranked Colorado Buffaloes won 75-68.
Jalynn Bristow led Tech with 18 points, including two three-pointers at the beginning of the game which got Tech off to a 6-0 start. Through the game, she was 4-for-5 from behind the three-point line. Snudda Collins had 13 points, Bailey Maupin had 12.
Rebounding frustrations continued for the Lady Raiders, as Colorado won on the boards 32-17 and their bench outscored Tech 34-23. Ball control also plagued the Lady Raiders, who had 17 turnovers compared to Buffaloes’ 17.
Until the final minutes of the game, the contest was back-and-forth between the two teams and had 13 lead changes.
Up next for the Lady Raiders is a rematch with the Kansas Jayhawks, a team they beat 70-65 at home back on Feb. 10. Tip-off set for 6:30 p.m.
