Several Dallas Stars are heading home from the Winter Olympics in Italy with a little something extra to take back with them.
Olympic hockey is in the books for the 2026 Games after a stunning gold medal game that saw the U.S. beat Canada in overtime. Jack Hughes’ golden goal lifted the Americans to their first hockey gold since the “Miracle on Ice.”
Stars goalie Jake Oettinger, though he didn’t end up seeing the ice at any point during the Olympics, is returning home a gold medalist after serving as the backup goalie for the U.S.
He’s not the only Dallas Star who will take home a medal from Italy, though. Check out the handful of Stars medalists below.

The Stars defenseman takes silver with the rest of Team Canada. Harley played in all six games for Canada, scoring a goal and adding three assists.

The Stars’ Finnish Mafia helped lead Team Finland to a win in the bronze medal game over Slovakia. Finland took gold at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.

Rantanen played well for Finland with two goals and four assists in five games, but missed the bronze medal game with a lower-body injury. Something for Stars fans to keep an eye on upon Rantanen’s return to Dallas.

Hintz added a tally in Finland’s bronze medal rout of Slovakia, the Stars forward taking home a medal in his first-ever Olympics.
