Over hundreds & hundreds of talented singers have made it onto The Voice during its 28 season run. Many have tried but only 28 lucky singers have been crowned the winner of The Voice. Incredibly we have seen a total of 6 winners represent the state of Texas. (That’s an average of 1 almost 4 seasons).
We would see the very first Texas winner on The Voice appear on Season 4
Houston’s Danielle Bradberry would make history by being the youngest competitor (at the time) to win The Voice by being part of team Blake Shelton.

Born in the Mesquite/Dallas area, 36 year old Craig Wayne Boyd would win Season 7 of The Voice by being a part of Team Gwen Stefani (after being stolen off of Blake’s team).

Another Houston (Port Arthur) native to win The Voice would be 38 year old Jason “Sundance” Head. Sundance would first appear on Season 6 on American Idol but would be eliminated just one week before the finals.
However he would get his redemption by winning season 11 on The Voice by being part of Team Blake Shelton. (That’s 2 Texas winners for Blake right there).
Season 16 would see the 4th winner from Texas on The Voice
Frisco’s Maelyn Jarmon became the first winner for Team John Legend after giving an incredible performance on Season 16 on The Voice. Maelyn would win when she was just 26 years old.

For a long time Jake was the last one to win from Texas…
The last winner from Texas (so far) would appear on Season 28 of The Voice
After an 11 season wait, 20 year old Aiden Ross from College Station would win on Team Niall Horan (his 3rd consecutive win as a coach on The Voice).
Who will be the next Lone Star winner to emerge from The Voice? Only time will tell. If you want more Voice related stories, you can read about all the contestants from El Paso who have appeared on the show here.
