Houston Police investigators have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a Friday hit-and-run accident on the northeast side.
A 57-year-old man was walking home from a grocery store along Woodforest near Normandy when he was hit and killed by a driver in a White Ram pickup, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The police report indicates the teenage driver was speeding at the time and didn’t stop to help the victim but instead drove away.
The driver is charged with failure to stop and render aid and is said to be in violation of his bond for an earlier DWI arrest.
