Sandy Garcia, Jim Baxa and Rebeca Gonzales are running in the Republican primary for Lubbock County Clerk. Kelly Pinion has served in that role for the last 20 years and announced her retirement in November. There are three republicans in this race and one democrat, so whoever wins this primary will face Kerri Padilla in November. Early voting in the March primary goes from Tuesday, Feb. 17 and runs through Friday, Feb. 27. Election Day is Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Should a need arise for a runoff election, that will happen in May.
