Author Tayari Jones will discuss her new novel, Kin, as part of the Dallas Museum of Art’s Arts and Letters Live series on March 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Jones has written four other novels, including the 2018 bestseller An American Marriage, which won the Women’s Prize for Fiction and an NAACP Image Award. The novel was a selection of Oprah’s Book Club and appeared on former President Barack Obama’s summer reading list.
Jones, who teaches English and creative writing at Emory University in her hometown of Atlanta, will have a conversation with children’s book author and marketing executive Noelle LeVeaux at the event in the DMA’s Horchow Auditorium.
Tickets are $36.50 for the general public, $31.50 for DMA members and educators, and $11.50 for students. Attendees can get a hardcover book with their admission ticket for $56.50 for the general public, $51.50 for DMA members and educators, and $46.50 for students. Livestream access is also available.
