Shoppers at Aldi stores across Texas, it’s time to check your freezers after a recall was issued for a frozen meatball product that may contain metal fragments.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), Rosina Food Products, Inc. is recalling about 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen Italian-style meatballs.

The recalled item is:
32-ounce bags of Bremer Family Size Italian Style MeatballsAbout 64 meatballs per package“Best By” date of 10/30/26Timestamps between 17:08 and 18:20 are printed on the back labelEstablishment number EST. 4286B inside the USDA mark of inspection
The fully cooked frozen meatballs were produced on July 30, 2025, and shipped to Aldi stores nationwide, including roughly 130 locations in Texas.

The issue came to light after FSIS received a consumer complaint reporting metal fragments in the product. So far, there have been no confirmed injuries linked to the recall.
What Consumers Should Do?
FSIS officials are concerned that some packages may still be in home refrigerators or freezers. Customers who purchased the affected product are advised:
Do not eat it.Throw it away… or,Return it to your local Aldi store for a refund.
Anyone concerned about a possible injury should contact a healthcare provider.
