Overnight closures on US 75 in Collin County may cause delays, with traffic diverted to frontage roads.

ANNA, Texas — A major overnight disruption is happening on US 75 through Anna in Collin County this week.

TxDOT has scheduled a full shutdown of both northbound and southbound US-75 at County Road 371 on Monday, Feb. 23, with the closure running from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. Traffic will be diverted onto the frontage road/service road to get around the work zone.

The detour setup will shift drivers to the frontage roads between FM 455 (White Street) and CR 371 (Mantua Parkway).

Even though the work is scheduled overnight, the biggest slowdowns often happen right after the closure begins (around 9 p.m.) and again during the early re-open window (near 5 a.m.), when crews are clearing equipment and traffic is still heavy. If you can, the easiest solution is simply avoid that stretch of US-75 during the closure window.

If you can’t avoid it:

Give yourself extra time; frontage road detours can move, but they can also crawl.Watch for last-second lane changes near the exit points as drivers realize the freeway is closing.Be ready for lower visibility (work lights, cones, equipment, and quick merges).

All roadwork is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
