As spring progresses, the UTA Athletics schedule continues for several sports this week.

Here is the schedule from Tuesday through March 2.

Men’s basketball

UTA men’s basketball will only play one game this week, going against California Baptist University at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center in Riverside, California.

Women’s basketball

Similarly, the women’s basketball team will host California Baptist at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at College Park Center for their only game of the week.

Baseball

UTA baseball opens the week at home against Dallas Baptist University at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Gould Ballpark. The team will travel east for a weekend series at the University of Arkansas.

The three games against Arkansas are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The Mavericks return home for a game the next day, to face the United States Air Force Academy at 2 p.m. Monday at Clay Gould Ballpark.

Softball

The UTA softball team is scheduled to play seven games this week, all on the road. The slate begins as UTA will take on Stephen F. Austin State University at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stephen F. Austin Softball Field in Nacogdoches, Texas.

The team will then head into the six-game Birds Up Bash during the weekend at the Roadrunner Field in San Antonio, Texas. UTA will play against Saint Francis University at 9 a.m. and the University of North Dakota at 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The team will go against North Dakota again at 9 a.m. and New Mexico State University at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The Mavericks will close the tournament against North Dakota at 9 a.m. and UT San Antonio at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Track and field

UTA indoor track and field is set to compete in the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday, at The Podium in Spokane, Washington.

Men’s tennis

UTA men’s tennis is scheduled to play its first home games of the year this weekend. The team is set to play Wichita State University at 11 a.m. Friday before going against Lamar University at 11 a.m. Sunday at the UTA Tennis Center.

Women’s tennis

UTA women’s tennis is also set to compete in two home matches this week. The team will go against the University of Louisiana at Lafayette at 10 a.m. Thursday before playing Appalachian State University at 10 a.m. Saturday at the UTA Tennis Center.

Men’s golf

The week opens with the UTA men’s golf team playing the final round of the Military City Collegiate on Tuesday at the Tournament Players Club San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. The meet is hosted by UT San Antonio.

Women’s golf

The week closes with UTA women’s golf playing the first day of the West Texas Classic against Abilene Christian University on Monday at the Abilene Country Club in Abilene, Texas.

Women’s wheelchair basketball

The Lady Movin’ Mavs are set to play in the four-game University of Alabama Online Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Stran-Hardin Arena in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

UTA will take on The University of Arizona at 3:30 p.m. and The University of Alabama at 6 p.m. Friday. The team then plays the same two teams the next day, going against Arizona at 10:30 a.m. and Alabama at 1 p.m. Saturday.
