Fresh off helping the American figure skating team to gold at the Winter Olympics, North Texas local Amber Glenn is returning home.

The Plano native Glenn along with fellow gold medalist Alysa Liu and the “Quad God,” Ilia Malinin, are among the lineup of skaters coming to Allen for the “Stars on Ice” tour.

The event will take place on May 29 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, and tickets are already going fast. Only a few dozen tickets remained as of Monday for the 6,275-capacity arena. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.

Allen is just one of the stops along the country-wide tour that spans from Boston and Orlando to Seattle and Anaheim. The “world’s premier figure skating tour” was started in 1986 and has showcased legendary skaters such as Kristi Yamaguchi, Tara Lipinski and Dorothy Hamill in the past.
