View Tribute Book Charlotte Rushing Jones Ball, 76, of Granbury, passed away at home on February 10, surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born in Fort Worth to T.C. and Lola Rushing on November 20, 1949. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1968. Later that year, she married her late husband, Kenneth W. Jones. Together they raised three children. After dedicating many years to her family, Charlotte began a career with American Airlines, where she worked for thirteen years. She started in ticketing and later served at the help desk, eventually becoming supervisor. Charlotte married her second husband, Joe Ball, in 2001. Charlotte loved the Lord dearly and was a shining light for Him throughout her life. Her family was the love of her life, and she was affectionately known as “Mimi.” She had a gift for making others feel loved. She enjoyed sewing and later taught herself to quilt, creating beautiful quilts for babies and adults alike. Every stitch was sewn with intention and love, just like the way she lived her life. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Joe Ball of Granbury; five children: Shane Jones and wife Jeanine of Fort Worth, Trevor Jones and wife Amy of Bluff Dale, Alicia Owens and husband Jon of Tolar, Jessica Rhodes and husband Leighton of Lipan, and Dereck Ball of Fort Worth. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, T.C. and Loa Rushing; her late husband, Kenneth W, Jones; grandson Dalton Jones; granddaughter Britain Owens, and her brothers Aubrey Don Rushing and Jerry Rushing. Visitation will be held at Tolar Baptist Church on March 6th at 9:00 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Samples officiating. A graveside service will follow up at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to one’s favorite charity.
