El Paso, TX (KFOX14/CBS4) — Armando Eleazar, a dancer originally from Juarez who moved to El Paso at 14, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
Eleazar began dancing at 18 after being invited to perform at a friend’s quinceañera.
“I just got really hooked on dance,” he said. He trained himself through YouTube videos before moving to Los Angeles at 19 to pursue his passion.
After three years of training, Eleazar landed a contract with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and later performed on Broadway.
His career took a significant leap when he was featured in the VMAs with Karol G and Bad Bunny.
Most recently, Eleazar appeared alongside Jennifer Lopez as a dancer in the film “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” based on the 1992 stage musical.
“It’s a heavy musical, somewhat like a tragedy,” he said, expressing gratitude for his featured moments.
Eleazar, who also enjoys writing and acting, said, “I love acting and dancing and singing and so I would love to put them three…together as a package.”
Looking ahead, he hopes to continue working on music and dreams of taking on a character role in a movie or musical. “The hustle continues,” he said.
