Are you looking for love in the Austin area?
Netflix’s “Love Is Blind,” has a forthcoming season at they return to Texas.
According to a former reality TV casting producer who goes by Austinunscripted on Instagram, “Love is Blind” is still looking for singles for the upcoming season of the popular dating show. She shares how to apply to be cast for the show in her IG reel.
“I’ve been in touch with the casting producers,” she said. “They are still on the hunt for amazing candidates for the show. So if you or anyone you know is single and ready for marriage, lives in the Austin-San Antonio metropolitan area and could potentially take time off work to go and date in the pods, the please feel free to shoot me a DM.”
For those who haven’t yet fallen down the rabbit hole of reality TV romance, “Love Is Blind” is a dating show from Netflix that dares to ask: Is love truly blind? Thirty eligible singles — men and women, all theoretically ready for marriage — are thrown into a facility where they date each other in “pods.” These aren’t just any pods, mind you; these are futuristic confessionals where participants can hear, but not see, their dates. It’s all about connection, conversation and whether you can truly fall for someone’s mind and soul without the distraction of, say, their questionable choice in socks. After a few intense weeks of pod-based speed dating and deep conversations, couples decide if they want to get engaged.
Here’s the kicker: they only meet face to face after the proposal.
From there, the newly engaged pairs are whisked away on a romantic retreat, where they get to actually figure out if the physical chemistry matches the emotional bond they’ve built. Then it’s back to reality, moving in together, meeting friends and family, and planning a wedding – all within a matter of weeks. The grand finale? “Decision Day,” where each person stands at the altar and decides whether to say “I do” or “I don’t.”
