I have good news for Toys“R”Us fans in Texas – three pop-up shops will be opening just in time for the holidays, and two of them are already open. Who else is feeling nostalgic right now?

I have always loved Toys”R”Us. Even as an adult, I couldn’t help but go to the location here in Wichita Falls and wander around. I used to collect Hot Wheels and action figures, so it was my first stop any time I was on the hunt for collectibles.

Of course, I passed my love for Toys”R”Us along to my kids. We always went there on their birthdays until the location here shut its doors after the company filed for bankruptcy. That was a sad day for me.

Where to Find the New Texas Pop-Up Shops

So, I was happy to see that one of their seasonal pop-up shops is a couple of hours down the road in Grapevine Mills Mall. Here’s where to find the three pop-up shops in the Lone Star State, according to a press release

Grapevine Mills: 3000 Grapevine Mills Pkwy. in Grapevine (Now Open) South Plains Mall: 6002 Slide Road in Lubbock (Now Open) North Star Mall: 7400 San Pedro Ave. in San Antonio (Opening Soon)

I sure hope this is only the beginning of a major comeback for Toys”R”Us. Even if that doesn’t turn out to be the case, at least we have a little taste of what used to be.
