President Donald Trump is expected to visit Corpus Christi on Feb. 27.

The Texas Tribune reported on Feb. 23 that Trump is making plans to visit Corpus Christi, citing an anonymous White House official and three other anonymous sources familiar with the trip.

The potential visit would come just days after Trump’s first State of the Union address of his second term as president.

The president has visited the Coastal Bend more than once in recent years. In 2022, Trump held a rally at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown.

During his remarks, he endorsed now-Nueces County Judge Connie Scott and teased his 2024 run for president.

Five years before that, in 2017, Trump visited Corpus Christi in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. He visited the Annaville fire station, where he was met by supporters, state officials and a few protesters.
