Renovations at local medical facilities are some of the new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Here are five of the most expensive permits filed with TDLR for North Texas projects in the past week.

1. Parkhill Junior High and North Junior High at Richardson ISD

Two more junior high schools are part of a total of six in the district that are under construction, according to TDLR filings. Construction was approved by voters through a 2025 bond, according to the district. Construction is estimated to last more than 2 years.

The commercial jet manufacturer, Embraer, will have a new maintenance, repair and overhaul, or MRO, facility in the Alliance area in Fort Worth, according to a TDLR filing. Embraer hosted an event at Perot Field in October for the groundbreaking of a second MRO facility, per previous reporting. Construction for the latest filing is estimated to last one year.

A new helipad and parking garage will be constructed for Medical City Fort Worth, according to a TDLR filing. Lizzy Couch, the director of communications and community engagement at Medical City Fort Worth, said the project is expected to take more than a year and more information would be released closer to the start of construction.

The Frisco West site of Legacy ER and Urgent Care is planned for a larger, state-of-the-art facility to better serve the growing community, media representative Corey Alexander said. The facility will have twelve exam rooms, one multi-exam room, a triage and a fast track urgent care suite according to a TDLR filing. The layout will be similar to Legacy ER and Urgent Care’s Prosper location, Alexander said. Construction is estimated to take a little over a year.

Three new shell buildings will be constructed in McKinney, according to a TDLR filing. Construction is estimated to take less than a year.
