LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Christian Anderson notched a double-double to lead the No. 16 Texas Tech Red Raiders to a 80-68 win over the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Anderson scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He led all scorers in the game while also leading Texas Tech in assists with seven.
The Bearcats started the game making all nine of their first baskets before their first miss. Texas Tech then flipped things around after taking a 34-32 lead with 3:35 left in the first half.
LeJuan Watts and Donovan Atwell scored double-digits on the night with 13 and 12, respectively.
As for the Bearcats, four of their five starters scored over 10 points, led by Moustapha Thiam’s 21 points.
The Red Raiders shot 53% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc on the night.
Up next, Texas Tech hits the road to take on No. 4 Iowa State at 3 p.m. on Saturday inside the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.
