TCU women’s basketball team steps into the national spotlight as they host ESPN College GameDay for the first time, showcasing rising star and guard Olivia Miles.
FORT WORTH, Texas — For the first time in school history, TCU women’s basketball will be in the national spotlight.
The Horned Frogs will host ESPN College GameDay on Sunday, March 1, ahead of No. 12 TCU’s matchup against No. 15 Baylor. The hourlong show will air live from Schollmaier Arena from 10–11 a.m. on ESPN.
TCU (25-4) enters the matchup riding momentum from a strong week highlighted by standout performances from Olivia Miles, who was named The Associated Press national player of the week in women’s basketball. Miles led the Horned Frogs to wins over Baylor and West Virginia, scoring 40 points and knocking down 10 three-pointers in the victory over the Bears.
Across the two wins, Miles averaged 26 points, 6.5 rebounds, five assists and 2.5 steals, helping propel TCU into a marquee national moment. ESPN is projecting Miles as the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s WNBA draft. TCU alum Hailey Van Lith was drafted No. 11 overall in the first round of the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. Â
The broadcast will be hosted by Christine Williamson, who is in her first season with the network. She will be joined at the desk by basketball analyst Andraya Carter, a 2023 Sports Emmy nominee, and Chiney Ogwumike, a two-time WNBA All-Star and multi-sport studio analyst.
The appearance marks the College GameDay debut for both college programs, underscoring the significance of the Big 12 showdown between the two ranked teams.
Admission to the event is free, with no tickets required. Seating will be general admission and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
