Plano East was represented at the state meet by junior William Prasetyo, who finished 20th in the 200 freestyle preliminaries with a time of 1:42.77.
Prasetyo outlasted a tough field at the Region II-6A meet at the Lewisville ISD Westside Aquatic Center a few weeks earlier to earn second place in the 200 freestyle with a personal-best time of 1:41.99.
“He was very excited to be there, and it really got him thinking about next year and his future swimming in college,” Plano East head coach Talyna Morgan said. “I think that this was a great opportunity and has motivated him even further.”
