SAN ANTONIO – An 18-year-old man was hospitalized after he was shot in the leg at a Northwest Side apartment complex, according to San Antonio police.
The shooting happened in the 5700 block of North Knoll, not far from Babcock Road, around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
The man was walking home from a nearby convenience store when a dark vehicle stopped next to him. A person inside the truck talked to the victim, who kept walking.
The victim said he then heard gunshots and ran home, later realizing he had been shot in the leg, an SAPD preliminary report said.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
SAPD initially said an altercation happened at an apartment complex on North Knoll; however, the release does not indicate this.
No details about the alleged shooter were immediately available.
