FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — Fire crews are working to contain a brush fire northwest of Willow City that has grown to approximately 15 acres, according to Fredericksburg/Gillespie County Emergency Management.
The fire was first reported around 2:30 p.m. near the 600 block of Exxon Road, close to Highway 16. By 3:10 p.m., officials said the fire was moving north and was about 20% contained.

Residents in the Hohmann Road area are urged to remain alert and follow instructions from first responders if the fire approaches or reaches their property.
Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area as emergency crews continue responding. Those nearby should stay aware of changing conditions and be prepared to follow the responder’s direction.
