Fire threats continue through the week for North Texans.

Communities west of Interstate 35 from Killeen to Bowie face the greatest risk, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. In those counties, relative humidity is forecast to dip as low as 15% with highs in the 80s.

At DFW International Airport, wind gusts could reach up to 24 miles per hour but should be less intense than Tuesday. The high is forecast to reach 83 degrees, the warmest day in weeks. Skies could be partly cloudy.

Thursday and Friday are expected to bring fire threats to the area, but more intense alerts — such as a red flag warning — have not been issued.
