LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock County grand jury indicted a 19-year-old man for criminal negligent homicide in connection with the death of another 19-year-old.
Matthew Wood was arrested on Jan. 21 near 78th St. and University Ave. after the shooting death of Taylor Wilson on Jan. 9.
That evening, Lubbock police responded to a shots fired call at 21st St. and Rochester Ave. around 10:40 p.m.

When they arrived on scene, LPD found Wilson with a gunshot wound. She was taken to UMC where she died from her injuries.
Police believe Wood was trying to disassemble a gun when Wilson was shot.
