AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) on Wednesday identified the man killed in a shooting last weekend in northeast Austin.
Police said the victim has been identified as 44-year-old Joshua Baker. Responders said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday near the 1400 block of East Rundberg Lane, close to Dessau Road and just east of Interstate 35. Officers responding to a call from the 9500 Apartments found a male victim, later identified as Baker, near a dumpster with multiple gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been made at this time in connection to Baker’s death. Detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The case remains under investigation.
