HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KLTV) — Former Beckville Bearcat Tyler Bryan earned his third save of the season in Houston’s 5-4 win over Sam Houston on Tuesday.
The senior entered the game with two outs in the eighth inning and struck out all four batters he faced to close out the game. Bryan has six strikeouts and a 5.68 ERA this season.
For Sam Houston, Tate Hickman of Woodville started, pitching four innings and giving up two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three.
Houston (6-2) travels to Frisco on Friday to participate in the Frisco Classic. Sam Houston (4-4) travels to Oklahoma on Friday for a four-game set against Oklahoma State.
