AUSTIN, Texas — The man shot and killed in Saturday’s northeast Austin homicide has been identified.

On Saturday at around 3:05 a.m., Austin police officers responded to a shooting at 1400 E. Rundberg Ln., where they found 44-year-old Joshua Baker near a dumpster suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The officers immediately initiated life-saving measures, APD says. Despite the officers’ efforts, Baker was pronounced dead at the scene at around 3:16 a.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Baker was shot and killed by an unknown suspect who then fled the area, APD says.
